Service of the fog lamp bulb begins by turning off both headlamp and ignition switches. Place the vehicle in NEUTRAL position and mount it on a hoist. Handle the bulb gingerly because it retains pressurized gas which can break the glass envelope in case of this envelope sustains scratches or drops that lead to breakage so keep your hands only on the base and never touch the glass. Security specialists should wait until the moment of bulb replacement before removing the fog lamp assembly parts because exposure time affects performance by allowing dirt and debris to enter. The bulb removal begins with disconnecting the fog lamp electrical connector followed by a counterclockwise rotation of one-eighth turn to the bulb. You should execute the removal steps in reverse order to install the new bulb while avoiding the activation of fog lamps when the bulb remains out.
