How to service the intake air duct on Ford Escape?

This is done to service the intake air duct and disconnect crankcase vent tube and vacuum tube with the air cleaner outlet pipe. Eliminate the MAF sensor connector and wiring harness. Loosen clamps, take out the outlet pipe, make sure the connections are tightened to 4 Nm (35 lb-in) and then reverse the process to install.

How to service and repair the air cleaner fresh air duct/hose on Ford Escape?

To service the air cleaner fresh air duct, unscrew the battery tray and the bolt which connects the intake pipe. Fit the bolt using 8 Nm (71 lb-in) and make sure the front sponge seal is correctly positioned on the shroud panel and then reverse the process of fitting.
