How to Service the Mass Air Flow Sensor on Ford Escape?

In order to service the MAF sensor, the battery ground should be disconnected, the air cleaner outlet pipe should be removed and the electrical connector of the sensor should be disconnected. Unscrew the four securing nuts and remove sensor. Install new sensor with tightness of 7 Nm (62 lb-in) and do not disturb the sensing elements.
