How to service and repair the rear brake caliper on Ford Escape?

In order to service the rear brake caliper, make sure the vehicle is in the neutral position in a hoist. Only DOT 3 brake fluid should be used since other fluids will destroy parts. Take away and place back the jounce hose flow bolt and guide bolts tightening them to 35 Nm. Post re-installation bleed the brake system. In the event of an emergency, call Ford/Motorcraft.

How to service and repair the front brake caliper on Ford Escape?

NEUTRAL on hoist: caliper clip: remove; jounce hose (retorque 20 Nm): loosen; guide bolts (35 Nm disc-drum, 45 Nm 4-wheel disc): remove. Unthread hose, which is not twisted. Reinstall and bleed. Use DOT 3 only. Contact to be avoided; wash eyes 15 min; ingested, give water, cause vomiting, seek attention.
