How to service the Knock Sensor (KS) on Ford Escape?

The first step to service the Knock Sensor (KS) includes vehicle elevation and support. Disassemble the KS electrical connector then remove the KS device from its mounting bracket while keeping in mind its position on the right-hand cylinder block flank. First remove the securing nut from the KS before removing the sensor. Administration of the sensor follows the opposite sequence of removal.
