How to service the radiator cooling fan motor safely on Ford Escort?

It is essential to make safety checks before operating the vehicle with its hood open because the radiator cooling fan motor must have its blade inspected for cracks and separation before proceeding. The radiator cooling fan requires service on its motor together with its blade and shroud as one unit. The service of the radiator cooling fan motor begins with disconnecting the battery ground cable. The fan shroud requires removal of its two pin retainers together with the main wiring harness before disconnecting the wiring connector which should be properly placed aside. Remove first all bolts on the fan shroud-radiator connection and extract the fan shroud from its position. To install the part follow the steps in reverse order of removal.
