How to service and repair the coolant reservoir for the 5.4L, 6.8L, and 7.3L Diesel on Ford Excursion?

You start servicing and repairing the coolant reservoir of the 5.4L, 6.8L, 7.3L Diesel models by draining part of the cooling system. Tool operators must first loosen the clamp which enables removal of the overflow hose. After that they must remove the bolts from the degas bottle hold. Detaching the degas bottle supply hose starts by squeezing the clamp a second time then continuing with degas bottle removal. When reinstalling the coolant reservoir apply the exact sequence of steps that were used for uninstallation.
