    A: Service of radiators belonging to 5.4L, 6.8L, and 7.3L Diesel engines begins with draining the cooling system. Detach transmission oil cooler tubes from the radiator first while performing the sequence of removals that includes the fan blade clutch and shroud. Begin by elevating the vehicle before disconnecting the degas drain hose and lower radiator hose on the radiator then bring down the vehicle. The radiator sight shield placement requires removal of its upper hose and detachment of plastic pin-type retainers. The installation requires removing the insulator and bolts which hold the right upper Radiator Support in place. Remove the vent hose from the radiator after which you should take out bolts and the insulator from the left side radiator support. Terminal the extraction process by removing the radiator together with its lower insulators from the radiator or frame extension. The installation fixes should follow the opposite order of the removal process.
