How to service the Knock Sensor on Ford Excursion?

Service of the Knock Sensor starts by removing the upper intake manifold from the system. The service on the Knock Sensor (KS) begins by disconnecting its electrical connection followed by bolt removal and then sensor extraction. When installing the sensor follow the opposite steps of removal positioning the black tapered section facing upward.
