How to service the crankshaft position sensor on Ford Excursion?

One must begin service on the crankshaft position sensor by disconnecting the battery ground cable. Service of the crankshaft position sensor starts by moving the A/C compressor off and lifting and supporting the vehicle. First disconnect the electrical connector of the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor before you remove the bolt and finally remove the CKP sensor. The crankshaft pulley receives removal for better visibility. The installation requires reversing all steps of removal.
