Service of the windshield wiper motor starts with removing the mounting arm and pivot shaft. Mark the windshield wiper motor crank before its disconnection to achieve precise reinstallation. (DISCONNECT THE CRANK AND REMOVE THE BOLT BEFORE REINSTALLATION FOR WHICH YOU NEED TO TIGHTEN TO 18 Nm (13 lb-ft). Wiper motor bolts need to be removed after which installation tightening should be done to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft). Proper installation of windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft demands that you set the windshield wiper motor crank to an identical position. To finish the installation proceed with the reverse order of removal steps.
