The first step to fix the upper arm bushing requires you to use a lift to elevate the vehicle and hold it still. First separate and discard the nut before unscrewing both bolts and flag nuts then throw them away. Move the bushing vertically out of position by turning it. You must direct the upper arm-to-frame bolts through both parts before securely fastening them. Keep the bushing-tightener nut loose until the vehicle reaches curb height. Reassemble the vehicle by placing the new bushing in its position.
