Services on the ride height sensor must start with disabling air suspension electrical power through the rear jack storage area switch to avoid uncontrolled air spring inflation or deflation that might result in vehicle shift while working. First lift the vehicle after support then remove the spare tire from the vehicle. You must perform two steps for replacement. Begin with height sensor electrical connector disconnect then proceed to separate the push-in fasteners which connect harness to frame and apron. Push out both upper and lower spring clips until the sensor becomes free from ball studs. Reinstallation of the new sensor involves performing the opposite steps of removal.
