Service the heater core by beginning with drainage of the radiator followed by unclamping and extracting the heater water hoses. Begin by disconnecting the vacuum hose from the water control valve after which you should remove the instrument panel. The service of the A/C evaporator core housing begins after the powertrain control module (PCM) and its heat sink are extracted by minimizing the ground strap screw and heat sink. Start by unscrewing the heater air plenum nuts positioned against the dash panel on the engine side and then extract the heater core through the removal of screws holding the heater core cover to the air plenum before lifting off the cover. Installing the new heater core requires placing a new oval foam seal on the inlet and outlet tubes before proceeding with the reverse order of removal steps for assembly.
