To fix the turn signal switch, take off the steering wheel and the screws that fix the column cover and shrouds. Disash the electrical connector of the multifunction switch with the screws. Install the new switch and screw in tight to 3 Nm (27 lb-in) and reverse. Do not take out ignition lock cylinder and switch.

Unplug the battery ground wire. Disassemble the ignition lock cylinder: put in the key, turn to the RUN, press the release tab with a punch and take it out. Unscrew the tilt handle/shank anti-clockwise, where applicable. Take off upper and lower column shrouds. Take off the multifunction switch screw and plug. Uninstall by reversing.
