How to service and repair the power window switch on Ford Explorer?

The power window switch service and repair requires the driver to start by disconnecting the battery ground cable. The door trim panel needs its window control switch plate assembly removed by raising the assembly plate front to free the front hold down clip while sliding the plate forward to release its rear tab for complete removal. Start by disconnecting the electrical connectors of the window switch before removing the window control switch from its plate through release tabs. The new switch installation requires following all steps in reverse order of switch removal.
