How to service the rear door jamb switch on Ford Explorer?

The rear door latch should be removed to be able to service the rear door ajar switch. Next, remove the locking tab, and turn the switch counterclockwise then remove it. The steps to be followed during removal are just to be reversed to install the new switch.
