To maintain the vacuum brake booster, unscrew the brake master cylinder, and shred the power brake booster hose, and the stoplight switch pin. Slide off stoplight switch and booster push rod, then insulate bulkhead, then booster nuts. To install, undo the steps of removal.

How to service and repair the vacuum brake booster on Ford F-150?

In order to service the vacuum brake booster, unscrew the battery and brake fluid warning switch. Disassemble the brake booster vacuum hose and master cylinder making sure to tighten to 25 Nm when reinstalled. Take off the speed control switch, self-locking pin and brake booster nuts. Installation Reverse all instructions, be careful with brake fluid.
