How to service and repair the evaporator core on Ford F-150?

To service the evaporator core replace the suction accumulator/drier only where contamination by a failed A/C compressor occurs. Carry out a leak test in case of leakage. Take off the plenum assembly, heater core bracket and take out the evaporator core. Installation Reverse procedure, lubricate with clean PAG oil.

How to service the evaporator core on Ford F-150?

In order to service the evaporator core, first remove the plenum assembly, heater core outlet bracket, and remove the plenum top by screwing the top 14 screws off. Take out the A/C evaporator core and apply the new one with the right PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil. Only when contamination is observed should the suction accumulator/ drier be replaced. Conduct a leak test if needed.
