How to Service the EGR Valve on Ford F-150 Heritage?

The service of Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve starts with the removal of three bolts that secure the throttle body splash shield. You need to disconnect the EGR valve vacuum hose followed by the removal of the brake booster tube bracket nut to disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose. First disconnect the upper fitting of the EGR valve tube followed by bolt removal of the EGR valve while discarding the existing gasket. Before installing the new valve first clean both surfaces and mount the EGR gasket and afterward execute all removal steps in reverse order to finish the installation.
