    A: The first step to serve or fix the turn signal switch includes separating the battery ground wire. Use the ignition key to turn to the RUN position and detach the ignition switch lock cylinder. The ignition switch lock cylinder release tab should be activated using a punch tool as you pull out the cylinder. Twist the tilt wheel handle along with the shank to fully detach them from the system. The gear selector needs to be placed in its lowest position to access the steering column opening cover before releasing its four clips for removal. Use a screwdriver to remove all three screws from the steering column shrouds after which you can remove both shrouds one by one. Unscrew the two screws on the multifunction switch before disconnecting its electrical connectors and extracting the switch. The relearning process of adaptive strategy will result in abnormal drive symptoms after disconnecting then reconnecting the battery since the vehicle needs to drive at least 16 km (10 miles). Follow the reinstallation sequence by executing steps in the opposite direction for which components were removed.
