  A: The first step to serve or fix the turn signal switch includes separating the battery ground wire. Use the ignition key to turn to the RUN position and detach the ignition switch lock cylinder. The ignition switch lock cylinder release tab should be activated using a punch tool as you pull out the cylinder. Twist the tilt wheel handle along with the shank to fully detach them from the system. The gear selector needs to be placed in its lowest position to access the steering column opening cover before releasing its four clips for removal. Use a screwdriver to remove all three screws from the steering column shrouds after which you can remove both shrouds one by one.
