How to Service and Repair Automatic Transmission Shift Levers on Ford F-250 Super Duty?

In order to fix the automatic transmission shifter, one has to take away the lower steering column trim, tilt lever dust boot, and screws on the steering column shrouds. Unhook TC switch, shift lever boot and bolt. Re-fit and undo in that order and make sure that the tilt lever and the shift lever bolts are tightened correctly.
