How to service and repair the shift cable on Ford F-250 Super Duty?

In order to fix the shift cable, place the vehicle in neutral position, remove the bottom panels and place the selection lever to the (D). Unplug the cable on steering column and take it off transmission. Installation of the new cable should be done and the panels reassembled. Adjust as needed.
