To service the 5.4L and 6.8L coolant reservoir, drain the cooling system, unhook the overflow and return hose and de-bolt the degas bottle. Threadlock 262 the threads, tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs. ) and then repeat the process in reverse to reinstall.

Drain the coolant reservoir, fuel and turbocharger cooling system in order to service them. Take off the hoses, three bolts and attach the new reservoir, screwing bolts to 9 Nm (80 lb-in). Un-do the de-assembly process and refill and bleed cooling system.
