How to service and repair the upper oil pan on Ford F-250 Super Duty?

Starting all repair work on the upper oil pan requires initial rest of the lower oil pan on every vehicle. The oil level indicator tube along with its retaining nut must be removed by those with partial body lift. Vehicles with body-on structure require the removal of the oil level indicator in addition to other components. First remove the bolt to take out the oil level indicator tube which you should set aside while discarding the O-ring seal.
