How to service the Throttle Position Sensor on Ford F-250 Super Duty?

Service of the Throttle Position (TP) Sensor begins by disconnecting both the electrical connector and battery ground cable from the TP sensor. The removal of TP sensor screws requires initial loosing by a hand tool at 1-2 full turns before a suitable high-speed driver should be used to finish the extraction. Dispose both screws as well as the TP sensor. The installation of the new TP sensor requires brand-new components because reusing original parts is forbidden. The new TP sensor should be positioned with its radial locator tab matching up to the radial locator hole present on the throttle body. Secure the new TP sensor by installing two screws which should be tightened to 3 Nm (27 lb-in). The completion step involves restoring the connection of the TP sensor electrical connector and the battery ground cable.
