How to service the Throttle Position Sensor on Ford F-250 Super Duty?

To maintain Throttle Position (TP) Sensor, disconnect battery ground and TP sensor connector. Carefully pull out the TP sensor screws, dispose the sensor and screws. Install new TP sensor and screws and attach locator tab and tighten to 3 Nm. Re- attachment of electrical connector and battery ground.

Take out ACL outlet pipe; take out TP sensor connector. Do not heat sensor/plastics, keep ETB less than 120°C. Bake until bolt ear reaches an approximate temperature of 55°C (3min) or less. Take out the bolts that are the farthest to the heat first; cut off the bolts and sensor. Get sensor tab centered; 3 Nm torque bolts. Reconnect connector; replace outlet pipe on ACL.
