How to Service the Crankshaft Position Sensor on Ford F-250 Super Duty?

The crankshaft position sensor service commences with placing the vehicle in NEUTRAL position while on a hoist. First disconnect the accessory drive belt after which you need to remove three bolts securing the A/C compressor before setting it aside. The service of the CKP sensor starts by removing both its electrical connector and the holding bolt which secures it. Tighten the new sensor to 10 Nm (89 lb-in) using the correct torque values and apply clean engine oil for lubricating the O-ring seal before installation. Reinstall the A/C compressor after securing its bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft) torque and move forward with the reverse order of removal.
