How to service and repair the alternator on Ford F-350 Super Duty?

The first step to work on an alternator requires the removal of the battery ground cable. Before removing the accessory drive belt you must reduce its tension then extract the belt from the generator pulley keeping it maintained for eventual placement. The generator wiring harness requires disconnecting through elimination of the B+ cable nut coupled with connector removal and locator release procedure. After removing all bolts from the generator bracket and stud follow up by loosening the lower generator bolts to remove the generator itself. To install the product reverse the removal steps and twist the generator battery positive cable nut by hand to prevent damage from incorrect threading.
