How to service and repair the voltage regulator in gasoline-engine generators on Ford F-350 Super Duty?

To service the voltage regulator, detach the generator (only in case of gasoline engines). Break off the generator brush, and holder of terminals, and then the voltage regulator. Install again by holding the brush and holder in place, and making sure it is centered over Test Terminal A. And lastly, restore the generator and install.
