Remove the HO2S by using the Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor Socket while disconnecting its electrical connector and apply penetrating lubricant to aid the removal process. When installing the new HO2S you should apply high temperature nickel anti-seize lubricant to its threads using a light coat. The correct torque setting for the HO2S installation must be determined followed by tightening the sensor to 46 Nm (34 lb-ft) with the Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor Socket.
