How to service and repair the door lock cylinder on Ford Five Hundred?

The repair procedure to correct the door lock cylinder requires the removal of front trim door, watershield and the circlip and the actuating rod. Take off the exterior door handle nut, and screw it to 7 Nm when reattached. Install a replacement lock cylinder and complete a new cylinder by following the repair package instructions.
