How to Service the Rear Crankshaft Seal on Ford Flex?

Start the crankshaft rear seal servicing after positioning the vehicle in NEUTRAL on a hoist. Start by removing both the flexplate along with the crankshaft sensor ring. You need the Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Remover and Slide Hammer to take away and dispose of the worn-out crankshaft rear seal. All sealing surfaces require metal surface prep cleaning before proceeding. Engine oil should be used to both lubricate new crankshaft rear seals and the installation bore. Set the Rear Main Seal Installer against the end of the crankshaft and place a new crankshaft rear seal onto the tool. Proceed with the Rear Main Seal Installer while using the Handle to insert the new crankshaft rear seal then continue with installation of the crankshaft sensor ring and the flexplate.
