    Q: How to service the ignition coil-on-plug on Ford Flex?
    A: Start the ignition coil-on-plug service by removing the quick connect coupling of the crankcase vent tube from its position on the valve cover left-hand side. Customers must detach the upper intake manifold before reaching the right-hand ignition coil-on-plugs. The service of ignition coil-on-plug starts by removing the upper intake manifold before disconnecting its six electrical connectors. You should apply a minor twisting action to separate the ignition coil-on-plugs from its seat before taking them out. Complete the removal process by unbolting and extracting the six ignition coil-on-plugs together with their six bolts. During assembly workers must tighten installation bolts to a torque value of 7 Nm (62 lb-in). The coil seals require inspection for damage where rips, nicks or tears are present so discard all torn seals. Install each new coil seal by positioning it down the coil until it achieves full seat at the top. The finishing step requires both the return of removal steps and light application of dielectric grease to coil-on-plug boots before fastening them onto spark plugs.
