How to service the Knock Sensor (KS) on Ford Flex?

To maintain the Knock Sensor (KS) the thermostat housing, lower intake manifold and coolant tube need to be removed. Open the connector of the KS and take off the bolts. Install the new KS, screwing the bolts to 20 Nm and greasing the O-ring with coolant. Proper type of Motorcraft coolant depends on the date of construction of the vehicle.
