In order to service the thermostat housing, set the vehicle on a hoist in neutral. Disassemble the cooling system, remove the air conditioning compressor, drain the cooling system, and remove the cooling fan motor and shroud. Disconnect hoses, wring the bolts holding the housing in place and fit the assembly, ensuring the tightening of the bolts to 10 Nm. Refill the cooling system.

Drain the cooling system. Take the coolant hoses off, take the thermostat housing bolts off, and take away the housing. Again disconnect coolant hose, completely remove housing and dispose of O-ring. Change a new O-ring, undo all the steps above, and refill the cooling system.
