    A: Service and repair operations on the front brake caliper need to start with the vehicle situated in neutral on a hoist platform. The brake caliper flow bolt and both copper washers should be extracted for disposal so discard the washers. Remove the two brake caliper guide pin bolts to separate the brake caliper from its position. Secure the boots of the guide pin and locator pin during new caliper installation so you can avoid damaging the components. The guide pin and locator pin require silicone grease inspection followed by necessary lubrication. Secure both guide pin caliper bolts by first fastening the bottom locator pin bolt to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs) torque before tightening the top guide pin bolt to insufficient torque. You need to install the brake caliper flexible hose as well as the brake caliper flow bolt with two copper washers before tightening the bolt to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs). The brake caliper installation requires bleeding the device to finalize the process.
