It is for this reason that Ford has boasting credits in this area by coming up with an advance technology that was formerly in the kind of orifice jets but today is made up of very smart valves that respond with different conditions in the engine, all in the interests of meeting the high stake targets in the emissions standards. Ford Freestar EGR Valve fits several Freestar models, for the company to ensure that the lineup's drivers experience the premier performance on the road. It concerns the maintenance of the EGR Valve; it should be monitored as its clogging by carbon deposit results in rough idle or stalling affecting the efficiency of vehicle performance and endangering the driving safety. The diaphragm within the EGR Valve is especially significant, and frequently it is the first component that fails, thus, calling attention to the delicate operations that need to be done during servicing. Consequently, accuracy and reliability of Ford Freestar EGR Valve give special features to the car and determine its high safety rates. Since it is more accelerated to improve engine efficiency and also dropped emission of hazardous gases, the Ford Freestar EGR Valve is absolutely unique in the global market for automobiles as it portrays Ford's commitment and passion in delivering new and quality products. Ford Freestar EGR Valve Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the EGR Valve System Module on Ford Freestar?
    A:
You should start EGR system module servicing and repairs by installing the vehicle on a hoist with neutral activation and removing the Battery Cable ground. You should disconnect the upper nut that attaches the EGR system module to exhaust manifold tube then reinstall this nut with a torque of 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) before finishing the operation. The tube needs to be removed after releasing the lower nut of the EGR system module-to-exhaust manifold connection while tightening both nuts to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) during assembly. The procedure requires disconnecting both the electrical connector and vacuum connector of the EGR system module. The gasket sealing surfaces on EGR system module should not have their gasket reused because they are made of lightweight metals. The two EGR system module bolts should be removed before discarding the gasket. Clean both gasket-contacting surfaces thoroughly. Before installation use a new gasket which should have the raised circle side facing the intake manifold and then tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft). The installation reaches completion by doing the reverse steps of the removal process.
