The service of the steering wheel begins with unfastening and then discarding the steering wheel bolt. Install this bolt after service with 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) force upon completion. After removing the steering wheel always guide the two driver air bag module electrical connectors through its opening. The service process ends by reinstalling the driver air bag module through its reverse installation steps.
