The first step to repair or service rear AM/FM and satellite radio antenna cables starts with removing the right-hand front and rear door scuff plates. Detach the front antenna cable from the rear antenna cable at the right-hand kick panel followed by removing the right-hand C-pillar trim panel. The rear antenna cable needs to be disconnected from the antenna module of the MKZ model. Before proceeding with service or repair of the rear antenna cables in Fusion/Milan vehicles along with all satellite radio vehicles customers must first remove each assist handle followed by the left-hand C-pillar panel. The antenna cable requires loosening of the bolt before disconnecting it from the antenna position with a final torque setting of 8 Nm (71 lb-in) during reassembly. You must perform two actions: cut the existing co-axial cable ends and remove the enable circuit functionality after disconnecting C237 at the right-hand kick panel. Use pliers to remove the male connector pin retainer while you locate the locking tab with the suitable tool to separate the enable circuit CME44 (BU) from C237-25. Keep the end section of the existing circuit then tape it together with electrical tape. Installation ends with executing the reverse steps from removal.
