Both bolts securing the left-hand upper thermostat housing require access from under the hood whereas right-hand upper and lower bolts need access below the vehicle surface. The three bolts should be removed to access the hose clamps through the repositioned thermostat housing before you discard the gasket. During installation apply torque on bolts until it reaches 10 Nm (89 lb-in). First disconnect heater hose and lower radiator hose from thermostat housing before removing the thermostat housing itself.
