How to Service the A/C Accumulator in the HVAC System on Ford Ranger?

Starting the suction accumulator service in HVAC requires first recovering the refrigerant. Start by disconnecting the electrical connector of the A/C cycling switch while performing line removal with a dual-function wrench then discard used O-ring seals. The suction accumulator bracket holds in place through three screws which need removal for extraction of the suction accumulator itself. To install the suction accumulator follow the backward order of uninstallation then transfer the A/C cycling switch to the accumulator during a new installation process. The refrigerant system requires a proper amount of clean PAG refrigerant compressor oil F7AZ-19D589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or an equivalent which matches Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B along with new O-ring seals pre-lubricated in clean mineral oil. Evacuate the refrigerant system next after which you should perform leak tests followed by system charging.
