Initiating instrument panel dimmer switch service demands removal of the radio along with the center instrument panel finish panel by disconnecting electrical connectors and eliminating two screws. The service begins by separating the hood latch release handle using two bolts before uninstalling two screws from the instrument panel steering column cover. The next step requires removing 5 bolts which sustain the lower instrument panel reinforcement while tightening all bolts to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft) before reinstalling. The instrument cluster finish panel removal starts when the transmission range selector lever is placed at the bottom position if present then 5 screws are removed and all electrical connectors need to be disconnected. The installation is completed by reversing all steps of removal. First detach the instrument panel dimmer switch by removing 2 screws.
