The 60 percent bench seat has to be taken out first and you must record how the safety belt buckle pretensioner wire harness should be positioned for reuse during reinstallation. The technician should detach safety belt buckle pretensioner electrical connector and wire harness anchor clips and guide the wire harness through the seat frame. The safety belt buckle pretensioner requires removal of its cover screw followed by the cover and then the nut before extraction. The J-clips need release before the rear armrest J-clip while setting the tether anchor material to the side. To obtain access to armrest bolts you must lift the cushion cover and foam pad from the seating area before taking out the entire armrest assembly by removing four bolts. Secondly detach the armrest by first removing two bolts from the brackets while also taking off the two cover clips from the armrest bracket. When installing attach the armrest to its place by securing the two armrest bracket bolts while tightening them to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft). Reposition the two armrest bracket covers and attach them with clips before returning the armrest assembly using four bolts that should be tightened to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft). Cascade the seat cushion foam pad and cover downward while reattaching the tether anchor material then join the hook and loop strip with the rear armrest J-clip. Reinstall the J-clips while installing the safety belt buckle pretensioner nut at 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) torque and replace the safety belt buckle pretensioner cover with its screw. You should feed the safety belt buckle pretensioner wire harness into the seat along with its clips and electrical connector to the seat cushion pan before putting back the 60 percent bench seat and activating the SRS system.
