    Start the wiper mounting arm pivot shaft servicing by positioning the windshield wiper blades in a straight UP position and disconnecting the battery ground cable first. Pull up the pivot arm and release the retainer tab during pivot arm removal for both the right-hand (RH) and left-hand (LH) windshield wipers. After positioning the PCM connector and harness, disconnect the PCM electrical connector by loosening the bolt and removing the nut and stud. Begin by removing both screws from the RH access cover while removing it from its position and then move the power distribution box to extract the LH access cover through the corresponding process. Insert your hand through the RH access cover opening to pull out the wiper motor clip from the middle of the RH mounting arm and pivot shaft. Remove the RH windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft from the LH counterpart before moving them away from the windshield wiper motor. Fasten the pivot nuts on both sides by tightening them to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft). Route the RH and LH mounting arm and pivot shafts out of their respective opening in the RH access region. Install the adapter to the wiper motor crank pin only while making sure the connecting arm clip is fully set because this prevents windshield wiper adapter or arm clip damage. Fit the RH windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft onto the windshield wiper motor crank pin and let it snap into place before finishing by reversing the removal steps while tightening components to 9 Nm (80 lb-in) according to specifications.

The installation requires you to securely tighten the RH and LH pivot nuts to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft). You should extract the RH and LH mounting arm and pivot shafts by using the RH access opening. The windshield wiper adapter and connecting arm clip should go through full seat installation before the adapter mounts to the wiper motor crank pin and clips connect to it while both parts fit properly into the RH wiper mounting arm and its pivot shaft.
