Use a suitable jackstand to support both the muffler and tailpipe during maintenance. Replace the two exhaust Y-pipe flange nuts together with the gasket before installing new parts and snug them to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft). Soapy water will aid in removing isolators while you must avoid breaking or tearing them. Carefully extract the muffler and tailpipe assembly from the vehicle through the isolator separation process.
