The first step involves dismantling the front door trim panel before placing the watershield to the side. Detach both lock cylinder rod connections when they apply from their respective components between the lock cylinder and exterior door handle. Next detach the three front door latch screws before reinstallation where you should tighten them to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft). First disconnect the electrical connector of the front door latch followed by removing power door lock actuator electrical connector and door ajar switch electrical connector.
