How to service and repair the main A/C Switch assembly on Ford Windstar?

In order to service the climate control assembly, disconnect the battery, the ash receptacle, audio unit and the panel screws. Unscrew the panel, unscrew connectors and take out the assembly. Installation Reverse the steps. Note, dropping the battery can result in abnormal drive symptoms, which would need 16 km (10 miles) of driving relearning.
