First remove the positive battery cable nut from the power distribution box until it disconnects before taking off the generator B+ stud nut followed by removing the cable harness eyelet. After disconnecting the generator battery sense circuit connector you can free the upper radiator support sight shield by removing pin-type retainers. The body negative ground cable bolt must be removed and you should elevate the vehicle for support. The procedure begins by removing the battery cable harness retaining bracket nut and continuing with bracket and engine negative ground cable removal from the stud. The battery cable harness should first detach from the harness bracket before you can remove the starter motor solenoid terminal cover. The starter motor B+ cable requires removing its nut and the battery cable harness assembly needs removal from the vehicle.
