How to Properly Index the Brake Pedal in an Adjustable Pedal System on Lincoln Town Car?

Indexing the adjustable pedal system has to happen during all brake pedal assembly and accelerator pedal assembly service operations. The base position index mark on the accelerator pedal assembly should match the position of the accelerator pedal by operating the switch. Both pedals should have 50 mm (2.0 in) travel range from their base position before continuing with drive cable attachment to the brake pedal assembly.
