How to service and repair the parking brake cable for the LH rear on Lincoln Continental?

The repair of the parking brake cable for LH rear must begin by lifting the vehicle onto a hoist. The service begins with detaching the wire hook from both the frame and the parking brake cable adjuster and continuing with the removal of the clip securing the parking brake cable adjuster. Separate the rear cable end fitting from the connector which is attached to the parking brake cable adjuster. When using a 13 mm box-end wrench you need to push down both conduit retaining prongs to detach the parking brake rear cable and conduit from its bracket. First disconnect the clip from rear disc brake caliper before removing the parking brake rear cable and conduit from the parking brake lever. After disconnecting the rear disc brake caliper you should remove the parking brake rear cable and conduit from it. Reverse the uninstallation instructions while setting the cable tension appropriately.
